James Wattanna wins 25th Asian Snooker Championship
The only player to win Three Asian Snooker Titles so far
Ratchapol Pu-Ob-Orm alias James Wattanna from Thailand made history 25th Asian Snooker Championship undergoing at Tangshan, China today by becoming the first player to have won the Asian Championship crown three times. Ratchapol beats Mei Xiwen from host country 7-3 to grab the 25th Asian Title
previously Ratchapol won the Asian title in 1986 and 1988. The illustrious Thai later went on to capture the 1988 IBSF World Championship crown in Australia and turned professional the following year. He also has three world professional ranking tournament titles under his belt.
It is presumed that this title
would again open the doors of World Pro Tour for the Thai Veteran for the year
2009-10.
