Siddharth Parikh strikes first gold medal for India in the inaugural Asian
Billiards Sports 2016. He defeated Aung Htay of Myanmar 4-2 in the final
to clinch gold in Billiards 100 Up discipline.
Siddharth shown outstanding game throughout the competition and emerged as
a true champion. After winning all matches in round robin he gained the
top seed and in single elimination, first he defeated Hwang Chulho of
South Korea 4-nil and then in finals routed Aung Htay 4-2.
Another Indian cueist, Sourav Kothari settled down with Bronze in the
Billiards 100 Up event. In quarter finals he had defeated Minhu Baek of
South Korea but faltered against Aung Htay of Myanmar 1-4 and rested with
bronze.
