Indian team confirms medal at Asian Team Snooker 2018

Team India comprises of the 19-time world champion Pankaj Advani, world team cup winner Manan Chandra and former Asian Team Gold winner Malkeet Singh confirmed medal for India by defeating team Thailand (Passakorn Suwannawat & Thanawat Thirapongpaeboon) in straight set of frames 3-0.

Team India-1 entered into the Last-8 knockout stage as Group No.2 and placed as 8th seed to play top-seed team Thailand. First frame was between Passakorn vs. Manan where Manan scored 58 against 29 of Passakorn.

In second frame Pankaj crafted a break of 64 points to seal the frame 92(64)-09. After that in the doubles frame, the pair of Pankaj and Manan scored a magnificent break of 99 points curtailing Thai boys on zero scoring and confirmed their entry into medals round i.e. Semi Finals.

In Semi finals, team India will meet team Pakistan-2 (Muhammad Majid Ali & Mohammad Bilal) who defeated team Hong Kong in the deciding frame 3-2.
