Aditya lost in
Pro Snooker
India's only player on the current professional
snooker circuit Aditya Mehta lost 2-5 to Lee Spick (No 65) in the
first round qualifying of the first event of the season the Northern
Ireland Masters at Pontin's on Independence Day. Aditya's provisional
ranking is 74 which is what the other first-timers have also got. Of
the other Asians only Li Hang made the next round. Those who fell by
the wayside were Thai Supon Saenla and Chinese Jin Long, who beat
Aditya in the Asian final at Dubai. Also losing were Michael
Georgiou and Vincent Muldoon who had come to India for the World
u-21 championship last year. Georgiou had won the title.
