The World Games are going to commence
from 16 July 2009 in the city of Kaohsiung in China. There are over
30 sport's disciplines, which includes Snooker, Pool, Carom from the
22-26 July 2009. The main aim is to gain the Olympic recognition and
become an Olympic sport.
According to sources, The WPBSA
have selected the Ricky Walden, Mike Dunn,
Nigel Bond, Paul Davies, Ding Junhui, Gerard Greene to
represent snooker. Other players selected on merit by the global
federations for snooker are -

As there was no 2008 IBSF World U-21 event , This spot has been
given to the runner up of the 2008 IBSF World Championship,
