IBSF announce World 6-RED & World Team Snooker Championships 2013

IBSF has included two new championships in their calendar of championships for the year 2013. The Board of IBSF has decided to start World 6 Red championship and simultaneously to revive World Team Snooker, which was held only once at San Jose in the year 2006.

The IBSF President, Mr. Jim Leacy said he is very grateful to the Republic of Ireland Billiards and Snooker Association for agreeing to host these events.

This year both championships will take place at Ivy Rooms, Carlow, Ireland from September 29th to October 6th. Six sessions will be played every day with three session for Team championship followed by three sessions for 6-Red. Member countries can send two teams of two players each for Men, Women and Masters. All players in the team events can participate in the 6 Red's, which will be mixed.
