Chawla settled with
bronze in Asian Championship 2014
Kamal Chawla exits
from Asian Championship 2014 by winning bronze medal for India. The
Championship is ongoing at Al-Fujairah. This is Chawla's first medal
in Asian championships.
In the late evening
semi final match, Chawla struggled against the Malaysian challenge,
Chuan Leong Thor who brushed him aside 6-2 ending all hopes of
Indian cueist for winning gold. Chawla somehow managed to win 2
frames in best of 11 semi final but that was not enough for making
his dreams come true.
The other semi final between Ehsan
Heydarinezhad of Iran and Hung Chuang Ming of Taipei had a close
finish where Chuang Ming got better play in decider to defeat Ehsan
6-5 and step in the final.
