Disappointing end for
India at Eden World Ladies Snooker Championship
Indian challenge
came to an end in snooker discipline of Eden World Ladies Snooker
and Billiards Championships 2014 at the group stage only. India is
being represented by R. Umadevi and Chitra Magimairaj.
In Group B, R. Umadevi finished No.5 after losing to Ng On Yee, Anna
Prisazhnuk and Jessica Woods. She managed to win only two matches
against Natalia Kazlouskata & Elizabeth Black, and drew the
remaining two matches.
The other Indian player, Chitra Magimairaj managed to win only one
of her matches and that was against Alena Asmolova. Unfortunately
for her the three matches that were a draw
(in this format, matches in the league stage, are total 2 frames
and, therefore, a match may be a draw)
against Wendy Jans, Emma Bonney, Laura Evans cost her heavily in the
tally as she finished No.6 in the group.
The Billiard discipline will start on 23rd April and Cue Sports fans
throughout India and hoping for a better performance from their two
representatives in that event.
