The maiden leg of the innovative RKG Pro Snooker Series 2015 came to an end with 12-time World Champion Pankaj Advani lifting the title. After the highly successful North Zone Championship where 101 matches were played, the caravan will now move to Sports Club of Gujarat, Ahmedabad (April 10 to 19). The Delhi leg saw a total of 102 players competing for top honours. The tournament based on ranking points as per Cue Sports India Ranking is expected to turn a new leaf as far as snooker in India is concerned. The series attracts total prize money of Rs.21 Lakh and is being jointly organised by Vivek Pathak (Cue Sports India) and Yasin Merchant (Yasin Merchant Snooker Academy) and Padma Poddar (Sport India).

This is the first time where tournaments are interlinked on ranking structure for Indian players. It allows young and upcoming players a level playing field.

After Ahmedabad, the series will be held at Chennai's Cosmopolitan Club (May 02 to 10) and Kolkata's Bengal Rowing Club (May 17 to 30). The top 32 players of overall ranking after fourth leg will then play in the grand finale to be held at the iconic Cricket Club of India in Mumbai from June 10 to 14.
