Advani starts with massive 125; Bharadiya shocks No.2 Pandurangaiah

 



India’s star cueist, Pankaj Advani (representing ONGC) started his national snooker campaign in great style. In the opening frame of his first match today, he hit massive 125 break against Tushar Shreshtha of Bihar.

His break was one of the best tutorial where he played most of the time on top-table resulting in pocket 9 black. In next frame also, Advani scored break of 62 points to cement his lead to 2-0. Though Tushar got some scoring shots in third frame and he scored 32 points but Advani went ahead to seal the frame 62-32 and registered first win of the league stage.

In another match, previous year’s No.2 and Railway player E. Pandurangaiah suffered shock defeat by the hands of Mumbaikar Mukund Bharadiya. In first two frames, Mukund curtailed Pandurangaiah to single digit score before hitting the last dent in third frame where somehow Pandurangaiah managed to score 36 points against 63 of Bharadiya.

There were three walkovers awarded to Dharminder Lilly, Dhruv Sitwala and Rupesh Shah.
