Pune Markers put their mark
Young Pune Markers Team thrashed Pradhikaran Youth Forum Dynamos by 3-0 margin, while Gamers Anonymous Tigers scored comfortable back to back wins against Swami and Pool Around Shooters in their Group league team matches of the fifth edition of the PYC–ATC Snooker Challenge 2008 tournament organized and played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana Club here today.
In the Group H, Young boys of Pune Markers team comprising of markers from PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Poona Club made their mark winning by 2 matches in a row. Yesterday Pune Markers defeated Parampara Super Kings by 2-1, while today they washed out Pradhikaran Youth Forum Dynamos by 3-0. Pune Markers - Manoj Kadam, Kumar Shinde and Vishal Shete scored easy wins against their opponents and gave the team back to back wins and a chance for their team to qualify for knock round.
In the Group F matches Gamers Anonymous Tigers thrashed Pool Around Shooters by 3-0 margin, while in the other match GA Tigers managed to win against Swami by 2-1. In an earlier match GA Tigers Lost to Padhikaran Youth Forum Invincibles by 2-1. GA Tigers now have won 2 matches and lost 1 out three.
In Group 'B' encounter hosts PYC Giants team comprising Harsh Giri, Chaitanya Halbe and Arun Barve thrashed PCS club 3-0, while in Group E match Turf Club team of Raman Chandra, Zubin Registrar, and Mazhar Taherbhoy scored a 3-0 win over Amarnath Students.
