Parampara Superkings, Swami, Turf Club, PYC giants, Gamers Anonymous Tigers, registered contrasting wins in the their Group league team matches at the fifth edition of the PYC–ATC Snooker Challenge 2008 tournament organized and played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana Club here today.
In Group 'F' encounter Swami team comprising of Rohan Guha, Yogesh Pawar and Jayant Sajgure defeated 2-1. Later in the day Pradhikaran Youth forum Invincibles comprising a team of Rahul Padhye Bipin , Sankpal and Arsh Siddiqui went on to outplay PYC Challengers 3-0.
In a group 'H' encounter Parampara Super Kings scraped past Corner Pocket Sharks 2-1, Sagar Shelar defeated Pramod Ajeywar by 2frames to 1, while Jaideep Khandekar accounted for Agnelo Harry with an identical margin , Asish Hule managed to defeat Jaideep Deshpande 2frames to 1 to register the fine win for his team.
In Group 'B' encounter hosts PYC Giants team comprising Harsh Giri, Chaitanya Halbe and Arun Barve thrashed PCS club 3-0, while in Group E match Turf Club team of Raman Chandra, Zubin Registrar, and Mazhar Taherbhoy scored a 3-0 win over Amarnath Students.
