Harish, Rajeev sail into last 16

Harish Mirchandani believes in attacking play. This boy from Otters Club gives the impression of a man in hurry to catch a flight to somewhere and it was no wonder that he hardly took 40 minutes to displose of Pune's  Nishad Chowgule to romp to 68-35, 64-10, 70-56 win and a place in the last 16 of the snooker event of the Malabar Hill Club-Maharashtra State billiards / snooker selection tournament, hosted by Malabar Hill Club here on Tuesday.

Another player to share the day's honour with Harish was the home favourite Rajeev Sharma, who went about the task of demolishing his rival Sachin Gamavat  without much of a fuss. Rajeev did drop the opening frame, but then thereafter he was in command for the rest of the tie to triumph 35-46, 63-35, 67-5, 62-41. It was once again his consistency that saw him through to the pre-quarterfinals.

Aditya Agarwal, the winner of the junior billiards event, did put up a spirited display against  Manish Adnani, but could not prevent the CCI stalwart from winning the tie at 61-12, 17-67, 53-22, 25-43, 66-22.
