Another tough day for toppers

 

Another tough day for Snooker giants on day two of Inaugural 6Red Snooker Nationals being played in KSBA Billiards Hall, Bangalore.

 

In the morning session, Varun Madan of Delhi shocked I.H. Manudev of Karnataka 4-2. After losing first frame, Madan took lead by winning three frames in a row. Though he lost the fifth frame, but by winning the next he clinched the match in his favour.

 

In an another upset, Shahbaz Adil Khan of PSPB lost to Maharashtra’s Rishabh Pandya 1-4. Rishabh was in full control since the start and took initial lead of 2-0. Though he lost the 3rd frame in a close fight, but managed to win next two frames and the match too.

 

In the evening session, Vijay Nichhani of Tamil Nadu become the spotlight of the day, when he shocked Kamal Chawla of Railways in decider. Initial three frames went in favour of Chawla but then onwards, Vijay hold the nerve and by winning four frames in a row, he made the biggest upset of the day.

 

On the other hand, Pankaj Advani as usual finished his match quickly beating his opponent Aseem of Haryana in straight set of frames (4-0).
