Divya Sharma won the Billiards title defeating Former Haryana champion in the final of the Haryana State Senior Billiards Championship 2011 being held at Haryana Billiards SCO 37, Sec 11, Panchkula. In the best of three frames of 100 points Divya Sharma started well in the first frame hitting a break of 49 points on the first visit. Anil Sharma replied with a break of 33 points and put a safety keeping white and red ball inside the baulk line, Divya tried to play a canon and missed it, and Anil again hit a break of 36 points, and was leading by 20 points. Divya got a chance and hit a break of 42 and put a safety. Anil managed to make another 18 points, but Divya keeping his cool made unfinished break of 10 points and won the frame. Second Frame was a see saw battle because both the players were playing very safe, but Anil hitting unfinished break of 46 points won the frame, making the score of the match 1 all. In the third frame Divya dominated Anil Sharma and won the frame 100-77.

Aneesh Saini won his maiden title as he defeated Divya Sharma in the final of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship 2011 being held at Haryana Billiards SCO 37, Sec 11, Panchkula. Aneesh looked very determined from the start. He won the first frame on the brown ball. But Divya Sharma was not in a mood to let the game slip in the hands of Aneesh. Divya displayed a combination of some excellent safety and potting skills to grab the next three frames. Divya hit good breaks of 35, 39 and 43 in those three frames.
Aneesh controlling his nerves slowed down the game. He won the next crucial frame on the blue ball. In the sixth frame, Aneesh hit a good breaks of 32 and 38 to force a decider. The final ended with a nail bitting finish. No player could get an easy start to seal the frame. Divya was leading by just 1 point on the pink ball. Divya potted the pink ball very neatly, but in the process, he could not manage the position for the black ball. He tried a thin cut, which eventually resulted in a foul. After a few safety exchanges, Aneesh potted the black ball to win his first title in the Haryana State Senior State Snooker Championship 2011.

Divya Sharma also reached the Semi Finals of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship 2011 being held t SCO 37, Sec 11, Panchkula. Divya overpowered Parv Manchanda 3-0. Earlier Parv defeated the defending champion Sameer Bhalla 3-1 in the pre-quarters. Divya looked to be in Ominous form against Parv. Parv could not find his rhythm as Divya hit breaks of 23, 32 and 28 to seal the first frame by a big margin. Parv tried to slow down the game, but could not match the potting excellence of Divya Sharma who sailed into the semi finals with great ease.
In the Semi Finals, continuing his form, Divya Sharma again displayed excellent class of potting as he got the better of Kishan Bansal 3-0. Divya Sharma marched into the finals of the State ranking Championship with supreme confidence.
Divya Sharma will now play Aneesh Saini in the finale of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship. Aneesh defeated Umesh Gupta 3-1 in the other Semi Finals. Umesh displayed great stability in the first frame. But Aneesh had other ideas. Aneesh countered all the strategies of Umesh. Aneesh displayed great determination in the semi finals to set up the final clash with Divya Sharma.

Kishan Bansal, Umesh Gupta and Aneesh Saini reach the Semi Finals of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship 2011 being held at Haryana Billiards, SCO 37, Sec 11, Panchkula.
Umesh Gupta reached the semi finals beating the last year’s runner up Ankur Nanda convincingly. Umesh seemed to be in a very good touch right from the beginning. Ankur could not play his usual game to counter the aggressive style of Umesh. Umesh stamped his authority on the table easily defeating Ankur Nanda 3-0, Kishan Bansal and Aneesh Saini also marched into the semi finals defeating Harpreet Singh and Gagan 3-1 respectively. Both of them showed good class to reach into the last four.
In the Senior Billiards category, Anil Sharma and Divya Sharma set up the final clash for the title yet another time. Divya defeated the veteran Sameer Bhalla 2-1, whereas Anil Sharma defeated Anshul 2-0.

Kishan Bansal made it to the quarterfinals of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship 2011 being held at Haryana Billiards SCO 37, Sec11, Panchkula. Both the players seemed to be a little shaky in the initial frame. Shareshth got an intial lead of 12 points on the coloured balls. But kishan managed to win the frame making a total clearance. Kishan again won the tight second frame on the blue ball. Finally in the third frame, Kishan hit a good break of 31 to win the match 3-0 convincingly.
In the Senior Billiards Category the veteran Anil Sharma cleared his league convincingy to march into the semi finals. On his way through to the Semi Finals, he defeated Divya Sharma 2-1, Himanshu Aggarwal 2-0, Mohit 2-0. Divya Sharma also made it to the Semi Finals defeating Mohit 2-0 and Himanshu Aggarwal 2-0.

The Senior Snooker category saw yet another upset today. Harpreet Singh upset the fourth seed Vishal Mor to advance into the quarter finals of the Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship being held at Haryana Billiards SCO – 37, Sec-11, Panchkula. Vishal Mor was on a song as he quickly rapped up the first two frames in no time. Harpreet came back very strongly in the third frame to come back in the game after requiring a snooker. He clichéd the very nervy third frame to keep his hopes alive. Harpreet started potting very freely and easily won the next two frames to win the match.
In another exciting match last year’s runner up Ankur Nanda overcame a scare from Aseem Arora. Aseem, playing a very tactical game did not give many chances to Ankur in the initial two frames. Ankur had to change his game plan and started playing safe. Aseem could not counter the safety game of Ankur. Ankur survived the crucial third frame winning the frame on the blue ball. Ankur then hit some good breaks of 31, 37 I the next two frames to advance into the pre quarter stage.
The Junior Billiards are scheduled to be held tomorrow.

Bharat Kalia won the Sub Junior Billiards title today winning a thrilling match against Gaurav Dhingra 2-1 . In the final encounter Gaurav took the initial lead winnig the first frame convincingly . But Bharat keeping his cool, took the next frame forcing a decider . In the last decider Gaurav hit a break of 31 which Bharat covered in 2 visits . Eventually Bharat was lucky to pounce on an easy miss by Gaurav under pressure.
Sarvesh Suman won the Junior Snooker title beating Saransh Chaudhary 2-1 . Saransh started the final match on a positive note winning the first frame . He required only the pink in the second frame to win the match and title . Sarvesh held his nerves to win a close second frame . Sarvesh played an excellent decider frame to in the match to become the Haryana State Junior Snooker Champion.
Sumit Bahl progressed to the next level upsetting the last year’s Junior Snooker Champion Prateek 3-2 . Pratik won the initial 2 frames .He was looking very solid throughout the initial 2 frames . Sumit held his nerves to win a very tight third frame . Suddenly Sumit Started playing very freely and was looking to grab Patik’s missed opportunities . In the decider frame Sumit made a wonderful pot on the black ball to move into the next round.

In sub-junior Billiards & Snooker Nikhil from Rohtak won the Sub-Junior title by defeating Bharat Kalia 2-1. Nikhil got the better off Bharat Kalia to win the Sub Junior Snooker title in Haryana State Billiards ana Snooker Championship being held at SCO-37, Sec 11 Panchkula. In the first frame Bharat Kalia failed to get a good start as Nikhil made two consecutive breaks of 21 and 29 to win the frame 61-39. In the second frame Bharat got this touch back after potting an excellent red to hit a break of 27 points, which Nikhil could not cover and lost the frame. The third frame Nikhil played very cautiously and won the frame and the match. In Junior Snooker category Saransh Chaudhary reached the finals defeating Manmohat 2-1 in the Quarter-Final and Hasneet Singh 2-1 in Semi-Finals.
In the Senior Snooker category Harpreet Singh playing his best defeated Rohit 3-0. Harpreet Singh played with the cool temperament and hit breaks of 28, 31, 32 and 26.

In sub-junior Billiards & Snooker Bharat Kalia reached the finals in both the events. In Sub-Junior Snooker Bharat defeated Parth Sharma 2-1 in quarter final and Harsheet Gaur 2-1 in Semi-Finals. In Sub-Junior Billiards Bharat playing his best defeated Yashik 2-1, by hitting a breaks of 21 and 29. Yashik started well in the first frame hit a break of 32 points and won the first frame but could not maintain the rhythm in the second and third frame and gave easy chances to Bharat to win the frames and the match.
In the Senior Snooker event Rahul Sharma showing good skills of potting outclassed Gurpreet Singh 3-0, in the best of 5 frames. Rahul hit good breaks of 29, 32 and 31.

25th Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship started today in Haryana Billiards, S.C.O- 37, Sector-11, Panchkula. In the inaugural match in Sub- Junior snooker event Prince Gayal from Panipat defeated Hasneet Singh from Gurgaon with Frame score 2-1. In the first frame Prince playing his best and hitting two good breaks of 21 and 17 did not give any chance to Hasneet and Won the First Frame. In second frame Hasneet keeping his cool played little safe and showing good potting made a good lead of 28 points in the colored balls and Prince tried to put a Snook and gave a easy yellow ball to Hasneet with which Hasneet cleared the table. The third frame was a see saw battle, both the players were playing very safe and were on level on the colored balls Prince having his luck with him, got three fouls from Hasneet and won the frame as well as the Match. In the second match Saransh Chaudhary showing his class defeated Abhishek 2-0. In the First Frame Saransh showing his temperament and a good Que ball control did not give any chance to Abhishek and won the frame convincingly. The second frame was a very close contest and both the players were playing safely and were trying to put Snooks rather than going for the potting. Abhishek got a chance and hit a break of 19 points but missed the last red and gave red ball on the pocket to Saransh which Saransh potted with Black. Both the players were on level at Black, as the luck was not with Abhishek he gave a foul on the black and lost the Frame and the match.
