Fancied cueists Faisal Khan and Siddharth Parikh were taken the distance before advancing to the round of 32 of NSCI All India 9-Ball Open Pool tournament.

Khan snatched an exciting 7-6 win over qualifier Satbir Narula of CCI, while Parikh overcame another qualifier Arpit Shah of Kandivli by the same margin, on a day of close encounters.

The other significant winners were, Tamil Nadu-based Rafath Habib of Railways, Altamesh Saifi of Delhi, Brijesh Damani of Indian Oil, Hitesh Kotwani of CCI, Chetan Chabbra of Hyderabad and Shivam Arora of Khar Gymkhana.
