Uttarakhand State Sub-Junior champion

Uttarakhand State Open Ranking Billiards and Snooker Championship 2015 had its
2nd day today. The event is jointly organized by 147 Snooker Academy and
Devbhoomi Billiards and Snooker Association (DBBSA).
The Sub-Junior Snooker Top-4 Round Robin League as well as the Junior Snooker
event which is a best of 3 frames format took off today morning.
In the Sub-Junior Top 4 Round Robin League, Sameer Khan and Subhaan won both
their opening matches against Rishabh Gour and Ajay Choudhary with Subhaan
hitting a break of 39 against Ajay Choudhary in the decider frame. The 3rd match
of the round robin was a virtual Final between Sameer Khan and Subhaan whereas
the match between Ajay Choudhary and Rishabh Gour were left to be a 3-4 place
finish match. Sameer Khan started off superbly against Subhaan in the first
frame and nicely crafted a break of 42 displaying much powerful game and showed
his good potting skills than his opponent, Subhaan, and pocketed the frame
easily. In the second frame, Subhaan made a good comeback and pocketed the frame
but in the decider, Sameer displayed his skills and crafted mini breaks of 29
and 22 and eventually won the match 2-1 thereby becoming the Uttarakhand
Sub-Junior Champion with Subhaan finishing as runner-up and Ajay Choudhary beat
Rishabh Gour 2-0 taking 3rd place.
In the Junior Snooker event which kicked off this morning as well, Lakshay Sudi
of Dehradun started off well winning 2-0 against his opponent, Vibudh Rastogi of
Kashipur and hitting breaks of 34 and 35 in the process.
