05.10.2015 :: Sahil becomes Uttarakhand State Junior Snooker champion

 

The Devbhoomi Uttarakhand State Open Ranking Billiards and Snooker Championship 2015 had its 5th day today. The event is jointly organized by 147 Snooker Academy and Devbhoomi Billiards and Snooker Association (DBBSA).

The League format for Junior Snooker event which is a best of 5 frames format was played today.

Promising Young Cueist, Aman Nagpal, from Dehradun, started off the day's proceedings in style crafting mini breaks in subsequent frames for a 2-0 lead against Yash of Dehradun, but Yash showed his fighting skills and made a come back winning the next 2 frames to take the match into the decider but eventually Aman Nagpal showed off his capabilities winning the deciding frame and the match 3-2. On the other table, Sahil Dora routed Lakshay Sudi 3-0. In the second match, Aman Nagpal playing Sahil Dora won the first frame easily but Sahil made a come back winning the next 3 frames and the match 3-1, where as on the other table Yash started off well winning the first 2 frames but Lakshay made a come back by winning the next 2 frames but Yash somehow kept his cool and won the deciding frame for the match 3-2. In the last league match, Aman outplayed Lakshay 3-0 while Sahil had a tough time but beat Yash 3-2 and thus by winning all 3 of his league matches secured the No. 1 position where Aman secured the No. 2 position with Yash being No. 3 and Lakshay No. 4.

Senior Billiards also reached the last 4 stage today with the 4 semi-finalists being Pankaj Kuckreja, Mustakeem Ansari, Arjan Anand, and Nivesh Hudla.
