04.06.2015 :: Kadam scrapes past Padlikar

 

Kunal Kadam scraped past Akash Padlikar by 4 frames to 3 to enter the second round on the inaugural day at the First edition of Akshay Gohad Six Red Snooker championships being hosted PYC Hindu Gymkhana in cooperation with Deccan Gymkhana here today.

Kadam scraped past Padlikar 09-48, 34-16, 15-38, 10-18, 33-32, 25-12, 36-11 , local player Vishal Kadam scored a (35-39, 39-08, 41-06, 38-28, 11-41, 36-09 win over Karan Thopte of RCBC , while Jawahar Mankar registered a 29-30, 38-19, 38-28, 48-29, 53-26 win over Hirabaug's Samrat Patankar . In another match Rohan Sakalka played a tough match before overcoming Rishi Ramaiya of RCBC 49-17, 30-53, 28-18, 29-26, 21-42, 32-20);

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr.Ajit Gohad and Yashodara Gohad parents of the late Akshay Gohad in whose memory the Rs 2 Lakh prize money event is being organised, Mr.Kumar Tamhane, Hon. Sec. of PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr.Rajan Khinvasara, VP of BSFI. Mr.Salil Deshpande and Mr.Shashank Halbe, Committee Member of PYC Hindu Gymkhana were present on the occasion. Mr.Samar Khandelwal welcomed the guest and proposed to vote of thanks.
