Devendra Joshi, Sanchez topples Nichani
It
was a day of shocks as two international stars Devendra Joshi and Vijay Nichani
were toppled at the First ever Akshay Gohad Six Red Snooker championships which
will be hosted jointly by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana here today.
New Mumbai based Karan Mangat out potted former Asian Champion Devndra Joshi
4-1(01-32, 32-13, 35-22, 33-25, 37-19), while lone woman player in the draw
former national champion Aranxta Sanchez shocked former India no.3 player Vijat
Nichani of Tamil Nadu 4-5 in a close encounter Nichani led 3-1 before the Pune
girl comeback to level scores at 3-3 and win the last frame 31-16 to leave the
spectators shell shocked and make it to the third round.
