07.06.2015 :: Rawat won in style at Akshay Gohad Six Red Snooker Championships

 

Laxman Rawat of Railway scored the highest break of 58 points and win the match in style to enter in pre-quarterfinal round of the First ever Akshay Gohad Six Red Snooker championships which will be hosted jointly by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Deccan Gymkhana here today.

In the third round match Railwayman Laxman Rawat scored a break of 48 and 58 in the first and second frame respectively to defeat Jawahar Mankar(AP'S) 4-0(48(48)-00, 64(58)-04, 35-09, 62-27), while Six Red Snooker No.1 player Varun Madan scored a easy win over Mukund Bharadiya of Borivali 4-0 (37-17, 41-21, 33-30, 49-01) and make into pre-quarterfinal round.

In another interesting match Abhijeet Ranade of PYC stopped the winning run of former national champion Arantxa Sanchez 4-1(45-09, 48-39, 44-15, 17-37, 42-25), while Shahbaz Khan of PSPB ousted Manoj Gadgil of Deccan Gymkhana 4-1 (20-40, 41-05, 42-02, 49-16, 41-01).
