Brijesh Damani of Satrangi Squad

The fourth day of the Bengal Premier League saw another terrific game played by marquee player Brijesh Damani but his team Satrangi Squad suffered yet another loss to Black Panthers.

Damani, the former Asian Gold medallist, continued his staggering form as he outplayed Ramesh Jaiswal, winning 100-31 in Billiards at the Bengal Rowing Club.

Satrangi Squad started the game on a bright note as they came into the fourth day with a win over Shooting Stars. But Manan Chandra, the marquee player for Black Panthers, prevailed over Rohit Rajgharia. Brijesh Damani equalized the score but the Panthers came back stronger in the third and fifth frame to collect another win under their belts.

However, in another match of the day, Shooting Stars completely outclassed The Rockets as Rupesh Shah accompanied by Sunil Saraogi beat Sandip Gulati and Shakil Ahmed.

Coming back from a doubles defeat yesterday to Pappu Penguins, Rupesh played to his worth snatching up the win in no time.

The first elimination from the league was City Knights, who lost 7 matches and won only 1 to finish 9th in the round-robiin.

The last match of the day was between Satrangi Squad led by Brijesh Damani and Cue Magicians led by Sourav Kohtari. The match was intense but Cue Magicians maintained their winning spree and outclassed Satrangi Squad 4-1. With this win the Cue Magicians are so far standing at No.1 position with no match loss. They have to play their last match tomorrow against Elvy-147.

By the end of the day, Pappu Penguins’ doubles pair Kamal Chawla and Siddharth Casyab crafted a magnificent break of 70 points enroute defeating Elvy 147 3-2.
