KSBA honours one of Karnataka’s greatest Snooker players by conducting a State wide talent hunt for budding snooker players. This tournament is named after Mr.T.A.Selvaraj fondly known as ‘Tiger’, a doyen in Cue sports of India. Mr.T.A.Selvaraj holds the record of being the first player to win both the Snooker and Billiards National titles in the same year.

In his honour, KSBA conducts an annual Snooker talent search tournament, the winners of which qualify to play in the State Ranking tournament. This year KSBA opened the T.A.Selvaraj tournament to all Cue sports players of Karnataka (excluding KSBA members) to showcase their talent. We received a whopping 190 entries from various parts of Karnataka. These numbers speak for themselves as to the spread of the game in the entire State.

The tournament commenced on 20 February 2008.

The finals will be held at the Billiards hall of KSBA at 3 pm on 26 February 2008.
