Hasan Badami wins the Chopsticks 6Reds Snooker title

The first major championship after the long gap of Covid-19 Lockdown, Chopsticks All India Open 6Reds Championship 2021, won by the No.2 player of 2012 National 6Reds, Hasan Badami from Maharashtra.

In the best of 11 frames final, Hasan defeated the then national 6Red champion and 2013 World 6Reds No.3, Shivam Arora, 6-5. This was one of the closely fought matches where both played an exceptionally high-quality game.

Starting with winning the frame, Hasan obtained a 2-1 lead when Shivam returned to the game with two consecutive frame wins and took a 3-2 lead. After that, they both won the alternate frames and reached the deciding frame, which Hasan won 36-28 to register his tournament win.

Earlier in the morning session, Hasan defeated Dhvaj Haria (IOCL) 5-3 in the first semi-final match. In other, Shivam Arora knocked out the current World 6-Reds Champion, Laxman Rawat (IOCL) by winning the deciding frame 5-4.
