Cue rests, long cues also known as butts & half-butts according to their length, extensions, and adaptors may be used by players when they fall under difficult positions for cueing. All extensions, adaptors, and other devices to aid cueing must be of a design approved by the World Governing body International Billiards and Snooker Federation.
