Pankaj Advani and Kamal Chawla secured bronze medals at the Asian 6Red Snooker Championship 2023 held in Tehran, Iran.
Both Pankaj and Kamal qualified for the knockout stage as group leaders from their respective groups.
At the knockout stage, Pankaj defeated Lim Kok Leong (4-2) in the last-16 and then his compatriot Dhvaj Haria (5-3) in the quarter-final before losing to Amir Sarkhosh of Iran 1-5.
On the other side, Kamal Chawla defeated Saleh Mohammed of Afghanistan (4-1) in last-16 and then Thor Chuan Leong of Malaysia (5-0). In the semi-final, Kamal lost to Chau Hon Man of Hong Kong (1-5) to settle for the bronze medal.
