Keerthana becomes World Champion; Anupama and Natasha get Silver and Bronze respectively

Keerthana Pandian wins the World Under-21 Women Snooker Championship 2023. The championship was played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she defeated her compatriot Anupama Ramachandran 3-2 in the final.

Keerthana qualifies as seed-3 for the knockout stage and knocked out Alaa Alhulwah of Saudi Arabia (3-0) in the quarter-final followed by her compatriot Natasha Chethan 3-1 to reach the finals of the championship.

In the final, she faced strong competition from the top seed and her compatriot Anupama Ramachandran. Anupama won the first frame and after that, Keerthana pulled the next two frames to take a 2-1 lead.

However, Anupama returned to the game with a fourth-frame win to set the deciding frame.

The last frame went long and they both played quite a safe game to counter each other. Lastly, Keerthana secured the frame to win the World Under-21 Women Snooker Championship for the year 2023.
