Kamal Chawla and E. Pandurangaiah have confirmed their entries to the Last-16 knockout stage of Asian 6Red Snooker 2024 after winning all group-stage matches.
In group D Kamal Chawla, last year's bronze medalist, won 4-0 against Khalil Busaif of Bahrain, 4-0 against Ali Alshammarani of Saudi Arabia and 4-3 against Mohammed Al Joaker of UAE.
National No.2 Pandurangahiah defeated Thet Min Lin of Myanmar 4-1, Lim Chun Kiat of Singapore 4-0 and last year's silver medalist, Chau Hon Man of Hong Kong 4-2.
National champion Malkeet Singh couldn't deliver as he expected and failed to qualify for the knockout stage. He lost matches 0-4 against Fung Kwok Wai of Hong Kong and 2-4 against defending champion Amir Sarkhosh of Iran. The match he won was against Susantha Boteju of Sri Lanka 4-3.
