Kamal Chawla triumphed at the IBSF World 6-Red Snooker Championship 2024, defeating Pakistan's Asjad Iqbal 6-2 in the final held last night in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This marks Kamal's first international title in the individual category.

Kamal previously reached the finals in 2017 but fell to Darren Morgan. This time, he secured the championship in impressive fashion.

The final began with a tough start for Kamal, as Asjad quickly took a 2-0 lead by winning the first two frames. However, Kamal rebounded in the third frame with a remarkable break of 71 points. From that point onward, he took control of the match, winning four consecutive frames to establish a 4-2 lead.

Despite Asjad's attempts to recover in the seventh and eighth frames, Kamal maintained his dominance, ultimately winning both to claim the title with a score of 6-2.

In addition to Kamal’s victory, India celebrated a Bronze medal from Malkeet Singh, who reached the semi-finals but lost to Asjad with a score of 0-6.

In the women's category, last year's champion Vidya Pillai and 2023 World Junior Snooker Champion Keerthana Pandian both secured Bronze medals as well.
